Adults Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art based on ground fighting, grappling and submission locks. BJJ can be described as human chess. Students use their skills and knowledge of leverage to control their opponent through gaining a dominant position and ultimately forcing their opponent to submit via choke hold or joint lock.

BJJ is highly regarded as one of the most effective forms of marital arts for self-defence, allowing smaller people to defend themselves against bigger opponents through applying leverage and using correct technique.

We have separate classes for kids (7 – 14yrs) and teens/adults  (14yrs +). In ours Jiu Jitsu programs students learn how to take an opponent down and how to fall if they get taken down, how to advance and escape positions and how to submit opponents using a range of different techniques including chokes, arms bars, leg and shoulder locks.
